BlueBlocks is a cleantech start-up that develops new biobased materials for circular applications.
BlueBlocks is working with Dutch seaweed as a (future) source for healthy food, for bioplastic, and for fibreboard made of the left over fibres after extraction processes.
Main activities
BlueBlocks develops biomaterials and products and forms new local networks across sector boundaries. They prevent waste from the start or transform unused residual materials of one organisation into valuable materials or products for another. That is how BlueBlocks designs waste out of our systems. One of their products is called SeaWood. SeaWood is a 100% natural, compostable and chemical free board material that can be used as a building material, for interior design products and acoustic wall panels.
