The innovation of Origin by Ocean is to make good use of algae in order to purify the sea by fighting eutrophication of the oceans. They do so by starting pilots on farming and harvesting seaweed in the Baltic Sea. Their main focus is biorefinery of seaweed for extracted products. Their first neo-ecology refinery will process 30.000 wet tons of blue-green algae and 50.000 wet tons of bladderwrack annually. Global and domestic industry customers can utilize the extracted components in their products.
