United, Wier&Wind, North Sea Farm #1
The UNITED project aims to promote the multiple uses of the oceans by launching demonstration projects. In doing so, many technical, regulatory, economic, social and environmental requirements and effects are thoroughly examined.
Within the Wier&Wind project a large-scale, automated seaweed production system is being developed that is safe, sustainable, ecologically sound and offshore-proof.
The Seaweed Company is one of the partners in the North Sea Farm#1 project. North Sea Farm#1 will be the first large-scale ocean farm in a wind park.
