Caroline Buijsse-Cammaert and Carla van de Vijver grew up with the sand between the toes and the first swimming strokes in the sea. Walking along the high tide line came the idea of ZJÍ, the pure(nth) line of marine cosmetics. And the origin of the name: ZJÍ is Zeelandic Flemish for 'sea'.
About ZJÍ 
For many, the sea is pure enjoyment and a source of relaxation. What would it be like if you could take that sea feeling home with you? Walking with the salty sea air in your hair, let yourself be carried away by the waves or simply gaze into the distance over the sea. The smell of the sea and the soothing feeling of the seawater in your own bathroom. With your eyes closed you can almost hear the sound of the sea. With ZJÍ you always have access to the soothing sea feeling wherever you are. At home, outside in the hot tub or in the hotel or B&B.
Treat yourself to sea wellness, with seaweed
All ZJÍ’s products are based on seaweed because of its natural and beneficial characteristics. Some products: face treatment, shower, seaweed bath, seaweed foot bath, etc. Seaweed has been used for seaweed baths for more than 100 years in Ireland and ZJÍ brought it to the Netherlands J. Marin cosmetics are more a tradition in Ireland, Bretagne of Asia but in the Netherlands there is a gap and definitely there will be room for a brand with ‘Sea Wellness’.

We are based in Breskens so the North Sea is our ‘home’ and off course we will use the best seaweed there is for our products. We still have to explore more about the characteristics and the possibilities of Seaweed in the Netherlands. We are open for discussion on this part for now or in the future. We noticed that the use of seaweed in body products still isn’t really common. Together with the North Sea Farmers we will lift it to a higher platform. So everyone who has experience, leads, information or questions about Seaweed and Beauty, can approach us. We will do the same. But also when there are possibilities for packaging, paper etc. ZJÍ cares about the sea. Sustainability, a clean sea and respect for people and nature are central to our business operations.

" For us it’s important to know each other in this sector and to help and inform each other. Sharing knowledge and experience is a main purpose for us to join the North Sea Farmers. Our greatest wish for the future regarding seaweed is that people know the benefits and good characteristics for beauty and food and that it will be a common product."
