North Sea Farm 1 - Phase 2 completed

Before the holidays began, we focused our efforts on getting North Sea Farm #1 up and running. Early on a Sunday morning, we started preparing the nets by sowing them with the seaweed seeder to ensure they were ready for transport. Once they were ready, the nets were moved to the NSF-1 seaweed farm within the Hollandse Kust Zuid wind farm. With water temperatures now dropping below 15°C - ideal conditions for seaweed growth - we were able to deploy the pre-seeded nets and complete Phase 2 of North Sea Farm #1.
Despite the challenges posed by the winter weather conditions, our dedicated team and the flexibility of the Coastal Crown vessel enabled the work to be carried out as planned and we would like to thank all the partners involved for their support and assistance throughout the process. It's been pioneering seaweed at it's best!
